Maker Faire Detroit Parking, Public Transportation & Shuttle Service

Make it Easy! Park and Ride for Free to Maker Faire at The Henry Ford

Parking at The Henry Ford is free of charge the weekend of Maker Faire® only.

Parking attendants will be on duty to direct guests into various Ford Motor Company lots off Oakwood Boulevard; both directly across from and next to the Henry Ford Museum® (see attached parking maps). After you have parked, follow the signs to one of the two entrances.

Expanded handicap parking for this event will be located near the IMAX® Theatre entrance. (See map for other locations.)

Visitor drop-off areas will be located near the Henry Ford Museum® clocktower and Greenfield Village® entrances.  Attendants will be present to assist and drop-off time will be limited. Vehicles left unattended in drop-off areas and other no-parking areas will be towed.

shuttle
Off site parking with complimentary shuttle service will be available at the Fairlane Town Center. Shuttles will load and depart from the lot just next to and north of the Hyatt Regency Hotel along the Southfield Service Drive (it's marked in blue with cross hatch marks on the map).  Follow the signs for Maker Faire Shuttle. Shuttles will run every 20 minutes from 9am – 7pm.

1. Head northwest on Oakwood Blvd.
2. Turn right onto Michigan Ave.
3. Take a slight left towards Evergreen Rd.
4. Continue straight on Evergreen Rd.
5. Take a slight right onto Valleyview Dr.
6. Turn right onto Town Center Dr.

The Henry Ford is located in Dearborn, Michigan on the corner of Village Road and Oakwood Boulevard, just west of the Southfield Freeway (M-39) and south of Michigan Avenue (US-12).

From the East or West via I-94:
Take I-94 to the Oakwood Blvd exit; go north on Oakwood. The Henry Ford is 2.5 miles from the exit on the corner of Village Rd and Oakwood Blvd.
From the South via I-75:
Exit to northbound Southfield Freeway (M-39), drive 4.1 miles to Oakwood Boulevard (Exit 4). Left on Oakwood and drive 1.8 miles.
From the North via Southfield Road (or I-96):
Take Southfield Freeway (M-39) South 4.5 miles past I-96 and exit at Michigan avenue (Exit 6). Continue on the Southfield service drive (veer left) for .5 miles. At the first stop light, turn right onto Village Road (through the iron gates) and drive 3/4 miles.
